I found the hat series shooting with MJ and the London trip very inspiring and wanted to give it another perspective. Putting the portraits in context with pop art, could create a more present-day aesthetic. The desired result was achieved by using loud crying color schemes in the style of Andy Warhol’s paintings, but more reduced.
For every photo one monochrome layer was multiplied with the original color image. This was combined with an increased contrast and greatly reduced graduation, so that the planar colors and reduced depth of the image came up.
